Tom Wright – Brand Strategist for Sport Brands
Project Overview
Tom Wright is a brand strategist with a focus on sport and lifestyle brands—think skateboarding, snowboarding, and street style. When Tom came to us, he needed a brand identity that would resonate with the rebellious and free-spirited culture of his clients while also exuding confidence and credibility.
Solution: Typographic, Logo & visual identity
We created a logo that embodies Tom's fearless approach. It’s a bold, minimalist design that’s subtle yet impactful, delivering a monumental statement. This logo breaks the rules in the best way, offering a sense of movement and flexibility that reflects Tom’s dynamic, out-of-the-box problem-solving style.
Visual Identity & Art Direction
For the art direction, we focused on creating a visual atmosphere that taps into 90s nostalgia—a time that’s iconic for skate and street culture. Using textures reminiscent of vintage grit, we evoke a sense of touch and memory that appeals directly to the skateboarding and snowboarding crowd. These textured elements help the brand feel grounded, relatable, and authentic.
Impact
The identity we created for Tom Wright’s brand, while bold and resonant with the spirit of sport brands, ultimately wasn’t used due to a shift in his business focus.
